Mustafa Uysal: Let us start with getting to know about you.

M. Güven Dalkılıç: I was born in Istanbul, grew up in Mecidiyekoy. I graduated from Galatasaray High School. Then I graduated from Mechanical Engineering in Bogazici University. After that I graduated from Business Economics from Istanbul University. I worked at Otokarin first ten years of my professional life, which takes place in Koç Group that is producing armored vehicles, Land Rover military vehicles, minibuses and buses. Then I worked in Bureau Veritas quality system certification company for nine years. I have undertaken the following responsibilities and positions in BVQI; auditor, automotive auditor, trainer, training manager and automotive industry responsible. This is my fifth year in Nursanlar Group. I was first the R&D and Quality manager, then Operations Director in Nursan. And now I’m working as the Factory Director in Nursan Kablo Donanımları in Tavşanlı.

MU: Can you tell us about Nursanlar Holding?

MGD: Nursanlar Holding is a group which has three main companies; Nursan Kablo Donanımları, Takosan and AKA Otomotiv. AKA Otomotiv is mainly focused on metal parts such as mechanisms, pressed parts and welded parts, some precision parts such as hand brake mechanisms, brake and clutch pedals and some traverses in chassis. Takosan Otomotiv Göstergeleri, is producing PCB assembles, plastic parts, and instrument clusters. Nursan Kablo Donanımları is producing mainly in the wiring harnesses of the vehicles as a whole toolkit. Since 1976, we are active in the automotive industry. Almost all of the local OEM’s in automotive industry are our customers. Such as Renault, Tofaş, Hyundai, Ford, Otokar, Ford plant in Inonu. When we consider the whole group companies, there are very few local OEM’s that we do not supply. For example, Honda was our customer before but not at the moment. This is a strategical decision for them to not to work with a local supplier which may happen with Far East oriented customers. Our non-automotive business is very limited. we are currently working with mainly on the automotive industry. Nursanlar Group companies are not only located in Turkey, but also in Bulgaria and Romania. We have a factory in Bulgaria and Takosan and Akahas a factory in Romania.
